This one took me roughly a month or more.
Not a casual month either — proper hours, coming back to it, stepping away, coming back again. It's the most time I've ever put into a single piece, and honestly, it's the one I'm most proud of.
It started as a request from someone who wanted something that really captured a cat energy. So, I painted the yawn with a reference photo I was provided. That wide, completely unbothered, full-face moment that every cat owner has seen a hundred times and somehow never gets old.
Then came the part nobody warns you about — the art was dense. Rich, heavy, layered. Beautiful on screen, but too solid to sit right on fabric. So I converted the whole thing to halftone, letting the black of the tee breathe through the dots and become part of the image itself. It was my first time doing it, and getting it to work with the warmth of the ginger tones took its own patience on top of everything else.
The result is a large portrait on the back that feels like it belongs on the shirt rather than just printed onto it — paint splashes, deep warm tones, every whisker intact. On the chest, a small orange silhouette of the same cat with my brand mark. Quiet enough not to compete, there is enough to tie it together.
It suits people who wear their wardrobe with a bit of intention. The kind of person who'd rather own one shirt worth looking at than five that aren't. Cat people, art people, or anyone who appreciates something made with real care.
